Dearly Beloved in Christ,
As we approach the ninth month of the year, let us be grateful to God for guiding us throughout the summertime. September 5th is Education Sunday. Many of our youths and children return to school and start a new academic year. By the end of August and the beginning of September, our churches in this region are having dedication service for our school-going people. A couple of churches that had this, I asked the kids a question to think about “why do you study”? More importantly, we need to understand for whom we should study. It’s a humbling experience to learn that we should not study for ourselves, but rather, we should study to strengthen our God-given talents and surrender them fully for the will of God. Studying should not be for bringing ourselves up, but rather to build up the kingdom of God values in this broken world that we live in. In school, we will go through several textbooks for various subjects. But no matter what textbooks we study, our main book should be the Bible as the foundation. That is our primary book, every other book is secondary. Remember we exist in this world, not for ourselves, but because God planned us through His love. We should abide in His love and strive in this world sharing the love of God. Our prayer is that our growing generation has concern for their spiritual life. Through our journey in education, never compromise your faith. Be stern and strong in it. Live for God, as He is with us faithfully, in all that we do, even in our study, be faithful to God.
Every Tuesday there are men’s Bible Study and every Wednesdays there is a women’s Bible Study. I urge all our youths to partake in this as it is on the zoom platform.
Wishing all of you a blessed September. May God bless you.
